Sam Latham

Im currently only 17, started windsurfing when i was around 9/10 at a small
lake near me called Aqua Sports. After competing for the clubs Team 15, i progressed into the RYA’s, Zone Squad, then to under 15, under 17 and youth national squads.

Competing or training almost every weekend all around the UK and internationally. Claiming my best result a 3rd at the under 17 Europeans in 2007 in Cadiz Spain. Continuing onto the RS:X i competed to a very high level. after a curtain amount of time, I became bored of course racing as spent a lot of time on the water in minimal winds, which i didn’t enjoy. Throughout all this course racing I was sailing slalom and wave kit regularly along side. Competing in the UKWA slalom series at the time. I’m currently competing on the BSA slalom series winning every event so far for Youth but also making getting some top level results against the top Men in the country. Due to my results I have thankfully been heavily supported by ex professional sailor Nik Baker the current North, Fanatic and ION importer, who has along side Boardwise sorted me with the top slalom and wave equipment allowing me to perform to my highest standard. as well as supporting me, I regularly sail at Shoreham or Worthing on the south coast with Nik, but also slalom train with his brother Ant Baker and Matt Pearch (both extremely high level sailors, who have competed on the Professional tour)

I am to continue competing in the UK and hopefully making my transition to my first international slalom events soon.
